Woman


A dress is above all “a matter of air and light” and the ability of arranging these two into substance. Just like in the photographs of the German artist August Sander. During the first half of the 21st century in fact he managed to grasp the intense link between the individual, the dress and the role. The inspiration of the team which still cooperates with Boglioli within the fields of architecture and communication and which gave birth to the idea of creating a female collection, can be found within Sander’s photographs. He attempts to portray the subjects of his photographs as else could not be. An image which absurdly, while exposing the façade, better known as the role and social context, in reality surprises the soul, the authentic and hidden side. The meaning of elegance, of a gesture and of pose play san important role in Sander’s pictures; the attention to the exquisite details of the dresses; the dated necklines, appliques and matchings. Through the photographed subjects captured within the most diverse conditions and circumstances, Sanders is able to portray his idea of elegance and style. The German artist in fact transforms the characters he encounters and makes them pose in front of his camera. Transformed in models of refined and often unaware elegance, reaching an unequalled depiction of style.

In the same way the Boglioli collection defines a style, an authentic aptitude, an innate elegance: it tries to be aware and distanced from the accidental choice, from the ephemeral, from fashion as in trend of the moment. Boglioli presents the first female clothing line; this can be considered as a historic event for the Brescia based company, known for its dyed destructured jackets. The first collection of female garments was unveiled. The idea sprung as a result of a high demand, which was impossible to be neglected ,of a Boglioli collection exclusively dedicated to women and parallel to the men’s’ collection. The Boglioli group believed in this project to the point they decided to launch and sustain it in a crucial moment, of widespread difficulties and alarmistic predictions.

The women’s collection, even though benefiting from total creative autonomy, is in direct relationship to the men’s collection. The Boglioli woman collection is structured around the Jackets / coats and declines into a real and proper collection. It is a complex and composite line which not only supports itself on the product but on the cohesion of the entire proposal. A line of jackets, dresses and high quality knitwear in which one can appreciate the high level of coherence. Given the sole approach and precise concept of elegance and distinction whilst maintaining an apparent diversity of the styles used. Textiles abandon severe and definite cuts, details of tailored manufacturing coexist with tidy lines. Above all, lies a feeling of orderly simplicity. A rich articulation of garments, clothing, easily matchable and interchangeable. Capable of characterizing uniquely each different outfit. This is therefore a collection able to transform itself and create itself always differently, depending on the model.

The Brescia based trademark moves from an undisputed experience in manufacturing, from a deep knowledge of textiles, and from the ability of questioning the rules of this science.
